I watch it when whatever I like more isn't on. I don't like it enough to watch it OnDemand, though.

by Anonymousreply 1February 19, 2016 7:06 PM

Same here. I watch it when nothing else I want to watch is on. I like the way Lucas Black talks.

by Anonymousreply 2February 19, 2016 7:27 PM

Wow, the PR shills are getting BOLD. It used to be that they tried to blend in as regular posters.

by Anonymousreply 3February 19, 2016 7:35 PM

I personally love the show myself. It is fresher and more entertaining than the original NCIS, in my opinion.

by Anonymousreply 4February 19, 2016 7:40 PM

That's not saying much, R4. It's better than a dog turd I saw yesterday.

by Anonymousreply 5February 19, 2016 7:52 PM

I believe the storylines are better this year than they were last year. The cast members are in a groove with each other on the show.

Lucas Black is the only reason I watch . And his accent is genuine . I despise Bakula , I always have , and never have I understood why he keeps getting parts .

by Anonymousreply 14February 24, 2016 4:48 PM

[quote]I despise Bakula ,

Why? I don't love him, I can imagine other actors in his roles, but "despise"? No. It's not like he's Madonna.

by Anonymousreply 15February 24, 2016 4:57 PM

I watched a couple of episodes on season 1 but that's it. It's not a bad show really but the writing wasn't really that great. Good to hear that this season has had better stories. The original NCIS was great or at least enjoyable at some point but I got bored with it years ago.

I like Bakula but none of the characters really set me on fire. If Lucas Black was gay in the show I'd watch every episode but obviously that's not gonna happen.

by Anonymousreply 16February 24, 2016 5:08 PM

It's NCIS. It incorporates NCIS schtick throughout, but has a nice NO patina to it (at least for those of us who aren't familiar with NO). I like Lucas Black, but, building on what R16 said, his character is so hetero, I want to turn the show off. As it is, I don't watch it now that Chicago Med is on opposite it. Nick Gehlfuss and Colin Donnell star, plus the show is more interesting.

by Anonymousreply 17February 24, 2016 5:29 PM

My favorite character on the show is Agent Brody. She's feisty as hell. Zoe McLellan plays the character well.

Each actor in it is a copy of actors in the other show. Lucas Black the only reason for watching.

I prefer to run episodes of NCIS: WeHo , in my mind.

Actual government in N.O. has no money for any real crime lab.

by Anonymousreply 23February 24, 2016 10:59 PM

Despise might be too strong a word R15 , but since I watched an episode of that lame ass " Quantam Leap " episode where he was a monkey , I cant bear the sight of him . An hour of watching him in a diaper cured any tolerance I had towards him . I will say that it was truly hilarious to watch , but that might've been the weed .

by Anonymousreply 24February 25, 2016 2:48 AM

R24, he was so hot during the Quantum Leap years *sigh*.

The NCIS is the law enforcement agency of the United States Navy so their funding comes from the federal government, not local government.

Being from New Orleans I watch and spot folks I know in crowd scenes, parties etc.

However it is just not New Orleans enough. They desperately need someone to go over the scripts and work the right word usage, slang, food (even if in the background) and social culture.

It feel like Los Angeles in a way only a born New Orleans Native can understand.

You need a New Orleans, food. culture, and language consultant at those table reads to fix the errors. You can never trust local crew to point things out, they just want a job and they won't tell a show runner that they are wrong.

It's okay, but it could be great. They need to fix it.

by Anonymousreply 34March 4, 2016 1:32 PM

I agree with you, r34. You won't get an argument out of me.

Tried several times because I like Scott Bakula but I just don't care for it. The cast doesn't have the same chemistry as on NCIS or NCIS: Los Angeles.

by Anonymousreply 41March 6, 2016 11:20 PM

Do you think the chemistry on NCIS: New Orleans is forced?

by Anonymousreply 42March 7, 2016 12:48 AM

The girl who had the short hair had some gorgeous skin when we saw them filming last year. I mean, she is truly glowing in person. Lucas Black is cute, but nothing that would turn your head on Bourbon Street.

by Anonymousreply 44March 10, 2016 6:46 PM

I find Scott Bakula's performances so enervated it's ridiculous. It's like he aggressively radiates lassitude.

by Anonymousreply 48March 12, 2016 1:34 PM

What I don't understand: orig NCIS looks like it's set in a (nice) well-equipped government office. The LA one looks like it's a trendy repurposed Mannix set. The NO one looks like a atmospheric derelict bar. Both look like fantasy productions. I have seen a few NO ones (for Lucas Black same as everyone else) but I see more of the orig ones.

There was a show recently that made fun of NCIS. The line was "She loves watching NCIS. I told her the Navy doesn't investigate those kind of crimes." "Thank you, that's exactly what I said!"

First: Oh, dear.

Here's your answer, you dumb Millennial: The US Army has the Criminal Investigative Command (CIC). The US Air Force has the Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI). And the US Marine Corps is part of the US Navy, so they are under the jurisdiction of NCIS.

by Anonymousreply 69April 20, 2016 11:31 PM

Pounder as the M.E. is awful and a distraction. I like the easy going flow of the 4 special agents'; I don't like the computer wiz or the lab maven - find them annoying .

by Anonymousreply 70April 21, 2016 4:11 PM

Why is CCH Pounder a distraction as the M.E. on the show?

by Anonymousreply 71April 21, 2016 4:25 PM

I have liked CCH Pounder in everything I've seen her in since I was first made aware of her existence on ER.

by Anonymousreply 72April 21, 2016 5:27 PM

I just think CCH Pounder is great on NCIS: New Orleans. She plays her character very well.

by Anonymousreply 79May 4, 2016 3:58 PM

Does Shelita Grant's character have the hots for Lucas Black's character? The few times I've seen it this season she acts really weird and clingy/protective around him. Reminds me of Ziva on the mothership. I don't see what she adds to the show. They need a taller, more professional black male or female agent.

by Anonymousreply 80May 4, 2016 4:05 PM

Call me when monsieur LaSalle turns gay.

by Anonymousreply 81May 4, 2016 4:13 PM

I find the accents exaggerated and off putting. I don't watch it unless I have to, while visiting my mother.

by Anonymousreply 83May 4, 2016 5:43 PM

What do you think of Zoe McLellan's longer hair? At first it looked like a totally fake weave (which I'm sure it was), but it has since grown on me. Pun intended.

by Anonymousreply 84May 4, 2016 6:01 PM

I loved Zoe's hair this season better than last season when it was real short.

As a matter of fact if they made the show authentic - it would probably turn off most viewers. Let's not forget New Orleans is in Louisiana - considered the most racist state.
