A once-popular influencer from Boise, Natalie Hodson, has changed her plea to guilty in a vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene case.

Hodson is accused of driving under the influence and hitting and killing Kristina Rowley, a 39-year-old woman from Cascade. Hodson was driving along Highway 55 in August 2022, just before 9:00 pm, when she hit Rowley.

Rowley was checking something on her trailer that she was towing when Hodson allegedly crashed into her, before driving off along Hwy 55. Witnesses who stopped to help Rowley called 911. Hodson allegedly told police initially that she thought she hit a mailbox. Ada County Sheriff's Office reports that Rowley was pronounced dead at Saint Alphonsus after life saving measures were unsuccessful.

Hodson initially pled not guilty and the case was headed to trial scheduled for February of this year. In court Thursday morning, Hodson changed her plea to guilty. The judge asked Hodson several questions to make sure she fully understood what it was she was pleading guilty to.

A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for March 7, 2024. Along with the actual sentencing being handed down, Hodson will also learn how much money she will owe in restitution and child support payments.
