Jim Boeheim’s Children Are From His Two Marriages
Jim Boeheim, whose full name is James Arthur Boeheim Jr, has been married two times so far. His first marriage was to a woman called Elaine Boeheim. According to our findings, the former lovebirds first met in the early 1970s and started dating. They eventually got married in 1976 and set their home in Syracuse, New York.
At this time, Jim was still an up-and-coming figure in the basketball coaching ranks and was serving as an assistant coach with the Syracuse basketball team. While they were married, Jim and Elaine shared a daughter together called Elizabeth Boeheim. The couple’s marriage lasted for about 17 years before they parted ways and divorced in 1994. The reason for the divorce is not very clear but some say it had to do with Jim’s blossoming career which impacted the family.
Following his divorce from Elaine, Jim Boeheim went on to meet his second wife, a woman called Juli Boeheim. The two are said to have met in 1994 at a Kentucky Derby party in Lexington. They had attended the event individually but were later introduced to each other by a mutual friend. They started dating and soon decided to tie the knot. They then got married on October 10, 1997.
Jim and Juli Boeheim have remained married since they tied the knot in 1997 and their romance appears to be getting stronger. They share a deep passion for philanthropy and are now parents to three children whom they had together. Altogether, Jim Boeheim now has four children; two daughters and two sons.
Who Are Jim Boeheim’s Daughters?
Jim Boeheim has two daughters called Elizabeth Boeheim and Jamie Boeheim. Let’s take a look at them.
Elizabeth Boeheim is Jim Boeheim’s First Child
- Full name: Elizabeth Boeheim
- Gender: Female
- Date of birth: June 1985
- Elizabeth Boeheim’s Age: 38 years
- Nationality: American
- Sexual Orientation: Straight
- Religion: Christianity
- Marital Status: Unmarried
- Elizabeth Boeheim’s Parents: Jim Boeheim and Elaine Boeheim
- Siblings: Buddy Boeheim, Jamie Boeheim, and Jimmy Boeheim,
- Famous for: Being Jim Boeheim’s daughter
Elizabeth Boeheim was born in June 1985 and is now about 38 years old. One interesting fact about Elizabeth is that she is not a biological daughter of Jim Boeheim; she was actually adopted by Jim and his first wife, Elaine. According to our findings, when Jim and Elaine got married, they found it difficult to have children of their own. They tried for a while but things didn’t work out so Elaine asked her husband to adopt a child.
At first, Jim didn’t want to adopt a baby and wanted them to keep trying for a child of their own. However, Elaine kept pressuring him and eventually got him to agree to adopt a child. So, in June 1985, they adopted Elizabeth who was just one week old at the time. The coming of Elizabeth into their lives helped to re-ignite the love they had for themselves.
Nothing is known about Elizabeth Boeheim’s biological parents nor why they gave her up for adoption at the time they did. So, Jim and Elaine are the only parents she knows. It is not clear what elementary school she attended but we know she had her high school education at Jamesville-DeWitt Central School in New York. Elizabeth graduated from the school in 2003.
After finishing from Jamesville-DeWitt Central School, she proceeded to attend Colby College, a private liberal arts college in Waterville, a city in Kennebec County, Maine, USA. It is not clear what she studied at Colby College, however, we know that after she graduated from college, she proceeded to attend the University of Montana, a public research university in Missoula, Montana where she bagged a master’s degree in Literature.
Growing up, Elizabeth was very fond of reading books. She was especially fond of reading Barnes & Noble books that her father bought for her during her teenage years. So, her decision to bag a degree in literature is not surprising. Growing up, she also fell in love with traveling and touring different cities. This is because she often accompanied her father, Jim on some of his road trips as a coach.
She Is Now A Lecturer
After she had bagged her master’s degree, Elizabeth Boeheim landed a job as a lecturer at the University of Montana, the same school she got her master’s degree from. She was employed to teach English and literature. According to our findings, she is now a professor in the English department at the University of Montana.
Her decision to become a lecturer made Elizabeth the only member of the Boeheim family who didn’t get involved in basketball and who lives nowhere near where Syracuse plays its games as she lives far away in Montana. It is also interesting that she is the only family member whose first name does not start with a “J.”
Today, Elizabeth is still very close to her father just as she had been while growing up. When her father married his second wife, Juli in 1997, Elizabeth served as the maid of honor at their wedding in Syracuse. She and Juli have also maintained a cordial bond.
Even though she does not live close to her family, she makes sure she meets with her father and other every year. According to our findings, sometimes Elizabeth goes to the family home in Syracuse, and sometimes Jim Boeheim travels all the way to Montana during the summer to fish with her.
Elizabeth has often expressed her love for her father. According to her, she admires his incredible ability to focus and have a singular objective and clear passion for himself. Jim is also very fond of his daughter. According to him, Elizabeth taught him to be more dynamic in life. He also revealed that the support system which he had with his daughter helped him live a healthier and happier life.
Is Elizabeth Boeheim’s Daughter Married?
According to reports available to us, Elizabeth Boeheim is not yet a married woman. She has probably been too focused on her lecturing job for that. Also, it is not clear if she has any man in her life at the moment.
This is mainly because she has carefully shielded herself away from the public. Hopefully, we will get a glimpse at who the man in her life is soon, if there is any.

She Suffered A Booing Incident
Jamie suffered what can be described as a bullying incident in 2015 while she was playing for Jamesville-DeWitt High School. At the time, she and her teammates were facing off against Albertus Magnus High School in the New York State playoffs when several people on the opposing end began to jeer at her.
Some of the fans chanted “Where’s the cheater?” at her and tried to distract her from the game. However, she and her team later went on to cruise to victory. At the end of the game, the principal of Albertus Magnus High School, Joseph T. Troy sent a formal apology letter to Jamie and her teammates for what had happened.

Jamie also scored in double figures on three occasions and had a season-high of 14 when her team faced Baldwin Wallace University on November 16, 2019. Jamie also did well with blocks, ranking 11th in the UAA in total blocks.
Why She Stopped Playing Basketball
Because of her exploits in high school and at the University of Rochester, there were high hopes that Jamie Boeheim would turn professional after her she had graduated from college. However, even though she did well, Jamie never went pro as many thought. She decided to stop playing basketball to the horror of her father, Jim Boeheim.
According to her, even though she still loved the sport, she wanted to do something else with her life. Her father tried to persuade her to keep playing and turn pro but Jamie was vehement in her decision to stop playing. Her family ultimately supported her decision.
It is not very clear what she does at the moment but it appears that Jamie now wants to pursue a health-related career. This is because, in 2021, she interned at the Bill & Sandra Pomeroy Treatment Center at Crouse Center and did some work with substance-misuse patients last.
Jamie is very close to her family and often spends time with her siblings and parents. Despite not fulfilling his desire to see her play as a professional, her father Jim Boeheim is still very fond of his daughter. In fact, she considers her father her hero who gave her more than an ample opportunity to express herself.
Jamie’s family always comes together from time to time to have boding times and Jamie is always present at these gatherings.

Jamie Boeheim does not seem to have any man romantically attached to her at the moment. The former basketball player has been spotted with a number of men who are not family members in the past and this has sparked some interest in knowing if she is in love with any of them.
However, Jamie has not officially shown off anyone as her boyfriend. Hopefully, with time, the confusion will be cleared and the man in her life, if there is any, will be revealed.
